Welcome to IES Östersund! It is a pleasure and a privilege to be the Principal of IES Östersund and be involved from its very beginning! IES schools are very special places. We offer a bilingual school education where social and academic development blooms. The staff and students are continuously engaged in an assortment of school activities. After more than ten years at both IES Enskede and IES Jarfalla, I was privileged to start up become the first Principal of IES Hasselby Strand, which opened in 2011. Between 2016 and 2020 I have spent time both in the United Kingdom experiencing the British educational system, and in Spain as a Principal of one of our IES owned schools. My name is Brayden Scarlett and I will be joining IES Värmdö as the school's Assistant Principal. I moved to Sweden 8 years ago from Alberta, Canada to join the team at the (then) brand new IES school in Huddinge as a year 6 Math, English, and Science teacher.

It is a great honour and privilege to be appointed as Principal of IES Kungsbacka and prepare the school for its grand opening in August 2021. Before coming to IES Södertälje, I have held many administration positions in a number of different schools over the years and I have been working with education both in Sweden and abroad. Our doors opened in August of 2017 to a beautifully renovated school, filled with teachers at the top of their fields eager to teach students from in and around Södertälje.
During the two training days the staff were fortunate to have a seminar presented by Frisk och Fri, giving tips and advice around diet, but also self confidence and self esteem. Welcome to my school!

International English School Krokslätt, year levels 3-6 My name is Desirée Ekendahl and I am the principal at Internationella Engelska skolan i Krokslätt. It is a pleasure to be the principal at IES Krokslätt.

As a school, our priority is each child reaching his or her potential by ensuring every student can access learning in the classroom and find challenge when he or she needs it. My name is Mr. Angelos Antonopoulos, the newly appointed Assistant Principal in IES Solna. I am originally from Greece, where I graduated as a special education teacher, with a focus on ADHD and ASD. Soon after receiving my diploma, I moved to Stockholm and joined the IES family, helping as part of the founding team to open IES Tyresö as the school’s specialpedagog in 2014.
IES Falun is a three parallel 4-9 school, now going into its sixth year, with 500 students in 18 classes, and 56 staff from various parts of the world. The balance between Swedish-speaking and English-speaking is ideal for our bilingual school: 30 Swedish-speaking and 26 English-speaking staff, and the percentage of qualified teachers is 88.
